というわけで、Deccaのコンプリートは欲しいけれど、Columbiaのコンプリートまでは欲しくないという方には、この10CDはちょうどいいのじゃないでしょうか。

Victorは私は要りません。

PS.  私、ポール・ロブソンに悪意はありません。むしろ尊敬しているほうです。でも、歌手としてのポール・ロブソンにはなんの興味もありません。

Raw Delta Blues/Son House

　今回は Not Now Music と取り上げました。２枚組ですから、ボックスセットとはいえませんが、廉価版としては有名ですよね。

　その中からサン・ハウスを購入しました。
　国会図書館用録音が目当てです。あとは、ガスライト・カフェでのライブがどんなのかな、という興味です。
　国会図書館用録音に関してもコンプリート版が出ているし、ガスライト・カフェも単独版があるわけで、はっきりいって「安物買いの銭失い」だと思います。

　ただ、私はサン・ハウスに関しては「伝説のデルタ・ブルース・セッション1930」があれば十分だと思っています。国会図書館用録音をコンプリートで収集するほどのコアなファンではないもので、こういう機会をむりやりつくらないと世界が広がっていかないんですよね。これも廉価版の利点のひとつだと思っています。

　名高い1930年のパラマウント録音をわずか３曲入れる必要はないと思うのですが、たぶん代表的な曲目をそろえておきたかったのでしょうね。
　1-01 の Death Letter Blues はビデオで見るサン・ハウスのいちばん有名なテイクですよね。サン・ハウス・ファンからはしかられそうですが、いつの撮影か、私には分かりません。
　
　購入するほどのものではなさそうですが、送料込みで600円（中古）だったらどうしますか。私、買っちゃいました。そして、勉強になりました。

　これは前回とりあげた Diggin' Deeper 200 Legendary Blues Treasures の続編というべきものです。収録されているミュージシャンはほぼ共通しています。はっきり言って20枚組のBox-Setというべきでしょう。

　パッケージの写真がブルースハープだからといってハーピストを集めたものではありませんので、ご注意ください。
　マリンバンドじゃなくて、ブルースハープだというのが、まず第1にダサイですね、----みたいに、余裕をもって聞きましょう。真剣になっちゃダメですよ。なにしろ10枚で1600円ですから。
